After running the meat department at Wagon Wheel Market for three years, Dick and Dona Butler purchased the market in 1981. Dick and Dona raised their 3 sons while working at the market 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. Soon after purchasing the store, because of the inability to get fresh quality smoked meats, they added a cutting room and smoke house to provide the local community with superior smoked meats. For years afterwards, all of the products went on to win first place awards at the Meat Processors Convention.

As a family business, the Butler's and their dedicated staff put a heavy emphasis on quality products and excellent customer service.
